I’ve found that my favorite shots of the Bostonian architecture this year were those which were taken with a telephoto lens, pushed to the maximum 200mm focal length.
This gives the effect of pulling distant glass panes, marquees, street lights, and whatever else one may find, closer to the foreground. This, to me, creates a flavorful and vibrant “condensed” look to the shot. Not in a chaotic way, but in a way that better portrays the exciting abundance of things to observe and do in the city.
The last two shots were thrown in just for fun – some jellyfish who’s particular genus I can’t quite remember, and a small bird who joined us in a brief moment of rest. Genus, also unknown.
