Wheels, People, Boat Rides and Shores

Generally, I like to take the opportunity to photograph specific concepts or objects on vacation. This year, however, was a bit different.

Work has kept me busy, and therefore this year I took the time to focus on enjoying the company of those around me, meet up with a few friends, and revel in the simple pleasures that come with staying a week at the shore.

Because of this, I ended up taking more photos of friends and family this year, who’s value lies in the sentiment rather than composition or story-telling elements. Therefore, I have few photos that I wish to post this year.

The photos I have chosen though, I like to imagine have a loose thread – leading the viewer from wheels, to people, to views on the ocean, and ending back on the shore.

Though they may not be my best work, I believe the act of creating is more important than lamenting over every detail. In posting these, I’m hoping to better put that belief into practice, and hope you enjoy them nonetheless.
